i thought i could be your everything
after all you mean the world to me
i thought i could be the best
but you only compare me to the rest
i thought i could make you smile
but you think i'll only be there for this little while
while i walk slower than the dead
you fall asleep inside your bed
as my tears soak the ground
you find a way to turn me down
this autumn night seems colder now
colder than it has been, somehow
i think my heart has frozen shut
the key inside is cold and stuck
i cant help but see the doubt
that you'll ever say to me,
oh i wish you'd say to me
you'd say to me eyes warm with love
"i dont know what that was about,
i was wrong, i do love you
it's hard to say
but you know it to be true
our differences only make it right
so sleep tight, on this cold autumn night"

Sunset falls against her blue eyes
she watches the water
and she knows that he cries
the waves hit the boat
and she feels herself crack
she looks at her hand entwined with her love
she must make her choice
or she will lose her very own voice
love or regret
life or her death
love. she smiles
and falls off the edge
